Young people uniquely take to coaching. They are more receptive, have a stronger sense of curiosity, and once trust is established, are keen to change. Attitude and behaviour are two main change zones.
Our coaches are working with young people in the following ways:
- A group of 10 year old special needs children are working in school with GOLD Coach Elaine Ward in Somerset. (Excellent feedback form the children and school staff)
- In East London, Lesley Lambeth, a Powerchange Coach working in 3 schools in the field of parent liason ran a week-long Coaching for Kids programme for 9-14 year old young people this summer, with fantastic results.
- In North London we have a specialist GOLD Coach, Gillian Curtis coaching teenagers in difficulty at school, and again, the results are outstanding.
- In Worthing, CEO Andrew Sercombe worked for 6 hours with six 16-19 unemployed young people referred by Connexions. Five are now employed.
- This is also the fourth year we have run a 6-day, one-day-a-month, Powerchange Coach training for Careers Advisers for VT Careers Management Group.
- We ran "Bringing out the Best" for Young People from central London attended by 30 young people and some parents.
We provide seminars on coaching for teachers, parents, students and university groups.
